Course Aims
This course aims at introducing basic research concepts and techniques to students. Students will get familiarised with research designs and methods, data collection, data analysis and interpretation. Besides, students will learn how to write research reports in the APA style of publication. Furthermore, there will be opportunities for students to practice formal presentation of research findings.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)

After completing the course, students should be able to:

1. demonstrate understanding of basic concepts and terms about scientific research;

2recognise the features of various research methods and designs;

3select an appropriate design and method when conducting research;

4collect, analyze and interpret data;

5be familiar with the APA format;

6make a formal presentation of research findings in a formal way;

7generate questions and opinions when reading other’s research works
