On October 10th, HKSYU counselling and psychology faculty members were invited by Guangdong Medical Association to lead four insightful workshops at the Guangdong Province Bipolar Disorder and Brain Science Forum. Dr. Adrian Tong presented on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, emphasizing mindfulness and behavioral change. Dr. Joe Ngai explored Animal Assisted Therapy, highlighting its benefits for mental health. Dr. Raysen Cheung focused on Career Counseling, providing strategies for navigating career paths. Lastly, Dr. Bess Lam discussed non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, showcasing their potential applications in treating affective disorder. Collectively, these workshops offered attendees valuable knowledge and practical tools, enhancing understanding of psychological interventions and their impact on mental health treatment.
