Contact Hours Per Week Students work out a schedule of appointments with their supervisors to discuss the progress of their research projects. They are expected to meet with their supervisors at least ten times during the two semesters.

Course Aims
The aim of this course is to provide an opportunity for students to put into practice all the elements of psychological research, including identifying knowledge gaps, generating hypotheses, conducting a literature survey, designing a research study, collecting data, testing hypotheses, and writing up a research report in accordance with the APA stipulation.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)

Upon successful completion of this course, students are able to: 

1. identify problems or areas of interest for research

2. conduct a literature survey

3. formulate hypotheses based on literature

4. devise a research proposal

5. collect data

6. conduct data analysis and hypothesis testing

7. present research findings

8. write up a research report in accordance with professionally designated standards
