This is an advanced course explaining the relationships of human behaviours and neurological structures in specific aspects, including neuroscience research techniques, neuroanatomy, neuroimaging techniques, and brain abnormalities in psychiatric illnesses. This course also aims at discussing some controversies about neuroscience and its applications in clinical contexts. Students will appreciate the close linkage of human behaviour and neurological systems, also how their linkages are studied empirically, upon completion of this course.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)

After completing this course, students will be able to:

2. Describe the structures and functions of the nervous system and their development;

3. Critically review research studies in neuroscience;
