Course Aims
This course will present major theories and research relevant to the study of personality. Students will learn different ways of conceiving individual differences and/or similarities, based on empirical research and grounded theories on human development, personality classifications, and a variety of innate and learning mechanisms involved in the formation of traits and characters. Students will also study various approaches in understanding the universality and cultural-specific aspects of personality.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

1. Explain the development of major theoretical perspectives of personality;

2. Demonstrate the importance and relevance of cultures in studying personality;

3. Evaluate strengths and weakness of different personality theories;

4. Generate effective solutions to deal with daily issues by using related literature of personality         psychology.
