Students work out a schedule of appointments with their supervisors to discuss the progress of their research projects. They are expected to meet with their supervisors at least ten times during the two trimesters.

Course Aims
This course aims to engage students in conducting their own research studies in psychology independently under the supervision of departmental staff. Students are required to demonstrate their ability in formulating research hypotheses, conduct research studies in psychology, present research findings and write their theses in APA format.
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:1. identify the key features of social psychology

1. critically review a psychology knowledge domain systematically
 
2. formulate hypotheses based on literature
 
3. design and apply appropriate research methodologies
 
4. collect data, conduct data analysis and hypothesis testing
 
5. present research findings to a range of audiences
 
6. write up a research proposal and a report in accordance with professionally designated standards
 
7. actively participate in the research project, demonstrating originality and independence on research work
