Course Aims
This course is designed to enhance students’ English proficiency in the area of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It is also the aim of the course to provide structured opportunities for students to practise different English skills through individual and group work. 
Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)
Upon completion of this course students should be able to:
 
1. use English confidently and effectively
 
2. apply reading strategies effectively
 
3. demonstrate enhanced listening comprehension skills
 
4. understand and use the features and processes of different types of writing 
 
5. recognise and demonstrate the features of spoken English
 
6. acquire good understanding of the grammatical structure of English and expanded vocabulary
