Course Aims

This course is structured to equip doctorate students with advanced assessment and evaluation techniques in order to enhance their psychotherapeutic treatments with different client populations. Students will further enhance integrative and clinical judgment skills in writing comprehensive assessment reports as well as planning treatment interventions systematically in accordance with the obtained assessment data. Furthermore, the students will obtain basic knowledge and training in scale/assessment development for the use of local community.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)

After completing the course, students will be able to:

1. obtain fundamental knowledge and skills in scale/assessment development, as well as the examination of reliability, validity and trustworthiness;

2. demonstrate clinical judgment ability to apply the characteristics of different assessment tools to the different needs of populations and to plan treatment interventions;

3. conduct and interpret the assessment, under supervision, in a professional and ethical manner;

4. demonstrate professional, ethical and integrative skills in writing assessment reports.
