Course Aims
This course aims at introducing research concepts and techniques in counselling psychology to students. Students will learn and apply observation skills, interview techniques, research designs, methods of quantitative and qualitative data analysis commonly used in counselling psychology. Besides, students will have actual experience in writing a critical literature review, doing a presentation and writing an APA-style report.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOS)
After completing the course, students will be able to:
 
1.Choose appropriate research methodology and data collection methods;
 
2. Write a critical and comprehensive literature review;;
 
3. Evaluate the ethical concerns in counselling psychology research;
 
4. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and interpret the results accordingly;
 
5. Write a report with professional designated standards;
 
6. Present research findings orally.
